Teaching

I would be nowhere without my teachers. I try to pay it forward whenever possible:
  • 6.092 Intoduction to Programming in Java (Winter 2010) Along with Evan Jones and Eugene Wu, I taught a one-month introductory course in Java.
  • Middle East Education through Technology (Summer 2009) MEET is a three-year program in Jerusalem that brings Palestinian and Israeli highschoolers together to learn Java and entrepreneurship skills. This is the teaching experience in which the students inspired me the most, and taught me the most as a result.
  • 6.830 Database Systems (Fall 2008) I was a teaching assistant for the Database Systems course at MIT, which was taught by Sam Madden and Mike Stonebraker. Evan Jones was the other TA. I took notes in the course to help me answer student questions, and students seemed to enjoy reading these, so I posted them online for general consumption.
